The Project
A Workplace Built Around the People Inside It
D.Law has cultivated a workplace culture that emphasizes collaboration and an esprit de corps uncommon among law firms. For a firm specializing in labor law, wage theft, and workplace issues, it is essential to walk the walk. Every architectural decision at 250 N. Madison Avenue was made in service of that commitment. Designed by Rick Corsini, AIA of Corsini Stark Architects.

The Building
A New Identity for Pasadena
The headquarters of D.Law at 250 N. Madison Avenue — a complete transformation of an existing commercial building into one of California's most ambitious law firm workplaces. From the street, the building announces its purpose with quiet confidence.
The Building
The Exterior
Architecture at Every Angle
Every elevation of the building was carefully considered. The exterior envelope reflects the same precision and intentionality that defines D.Law's practice — nothing left to chance, everything designed with purpose.

The Entrance
First Impressions
The building's entrance sets the tone from the first step inside. Clean lines, warm materials, and a sense of arrival that tells clients and colleagues alike: this is a place that takes its work seriously.

The Lobby
The Welcome
The lobby is D.Law's front door to the world — open, confident, and welcoming. A space that puts clients at ease and signals the culture of the firm before a single word is spoken.

Axis Mundi
The Heart of the Building
The grand spiral staircase runs from basement to roof terrace, culminating in a large skylight. Named Axis Mundi — the symbolic line connecting the heavens, earth, and underworld — it brings daylight into the core of the building and connects every floor, every team, every idea.

The Basement
Below Ground, Above All
The skylit basement dining mezzanine is designed for group lunches, staff birthdays, movie nights, and special events. A lounge for informal meetings and the kind of connection that only happens when people are truly at ease.

The Gym
Focus & Craft
A fully equipped in-house gym and locker room means the team never has to choose between taking care of themselves and showing up for the work. At D.Law, the two are inseparable. Strong people build strong cases — and this building was designed with that in mind.
The Gym
The Courtyard
Open Sky, Open Minds
The courtyard is the building's outdoor living room — a landscaped space that brings natural light, air, and the sounds of the city into the heart of the workplace. A place to pause, think, and reconnect.

Axis Mundi
Every Floor. Every Person.
The spiral stair seen from another vantage — a reminder that the Axis Mundi is not just a design feature but the organizing principle of the entire building. Every floor connected. Every person within reach.

The Rooftop
San Gabriel Mountains
The roof terrace crowns the building with a panoramic view of the San Gabriel Mountains. A space for celebration, team gatherings, and the kind of perspective that reminds everyone what D.Law is fighting for.
